United In Purpose

To Build A Stronger Community

“We believe that nonprofit organizations can better achieve their missions by drawing on the skills, talents, and perspectives of a broader and more diverse range of leaders, and that the diversity of viewpoints that comes from different life experiences and cultural backgrounds strengthens board deliberations and decision-making.” - BoardSource

Aligning with this belief, United Way of San Diego County is committed to recruiting and cultivating a group of demonstrated leaders who are diverse in their ethnicity, professional backgrounds, subject matter expertise, and cause area interests.

We are excited to announce that the application for our Nonprofit Board Certification Fall 2021 cohort is now open!

This seven-week virtual course requires a commitment of 2.5 hours per week "in class" every Tuesday morning (9:00 - 11:30 am) from September 21st until November 2nd. Please complete this application by September 10th.
